This is a full-time position for an experienced Trade Butcher to join a busy and professional environment. The Trade Butcher will be confident in all aspects of butchery, with a strong work ethic and a high standard of quality and hygiene. Key Responsibilities:

  • Breaking down and preparing a wide range of meat cuts to a high standard
  • Boning, trimming, slicing, and portioning meat accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing orders to specific customer requirements for retail and wholesale
  • Ensuring all products are correctly labelled and presented
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all work areas and equipment
  • Adhering to all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times
  • Supporting the wider team to meet daily production and service targets
  • Monitoring product quality and reporting any issues to management
  • Providing professional service and assistance when dealing with customers or colleagues

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Trade Butcher role is essential
  • Strong knife skills and excellent knowledge of meat cuts and preparation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Good communication skills and a strong ability to work well as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible in terms of shift patterns and work demands
