Job Title: Assistant Manager

Locations: Waterford & Ashbourne, Ireland

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

About Us: Driving Force is excited to partner with one of Ireland\’s top retail home stores. We are seeking experienced Assistant Managers for their Waterford and Ashbourne stores. These full-time positions are ideal for individuals ready to advance their retail management careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Development: Train and develop store team members.
  • Communication: Efficiently communicate plans, procedures, and updates.
  • Leadership: Lead by example with exemplary behaviour.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a customer-focused store environment.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date product knowledge for customer loyalty.
  • Workflow Management: Organize team schedules and tasks.
  • Store Presentation: Maintain high standards of store appearance and merchandising.
  • Employee Productivity: Monitor and provide feedback on employee performance.
  • Flexibility: Take on additional tasks and support new projects.
  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a professional, positive attitude.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer complaints and requests professionally.
  • Promotional Displays: Oversee in-store promotional and seasonal displays.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding business and employees.
  • Policy Compliance: Follow and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Cash Management: Manage store cash and back-office processes.
  • Security & Safety: Ensure store security and adherence to health & safety procedures.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Retail Management: Minimum 1 year.
  • Team Management: Experience managing large teams.
  • People Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Store Standards: Maintain high store standards.
  • Initiative & Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills and team building experience.
  • Merchandising: Keen eye for detail.
