Job Purpose

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive new business acquisitions through pre-booked appointments set by our telemarketing and services team, as well as through your own referral network. Your success will be measured by the number of businesses acquired and the value of the contracts secured.

We are looking for a commercially savvy, empathetic listener who can forge strong, trusting relationships with SME business owners. The ideal candidate will be local to the region and have a proven track record in sales and new business acquisition. Industry experience is not required, as full training will be provided, but a background in consultative, value-based selling and a robust network of prospective clients is essential.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct four consultative in-person sales meetings with SMEs daily, with most appointments pre-booked by our sales support team.
  • Generate additional leads through your professional and informal networks to supplement office-generated leads.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Events to deliver monthly seminars to business owners, maximizing sales opportunities through co-hosted events with the Chamber of Commerce and industry groups.
  • Develop alternative prospect sources by building referral partnerships with third parties.
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets.
  • Accurately build, manage, and maintain your sales pipeline.
  • Represent the brand with excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B sales with a high client volume.
  • Experience in selling services to SMEs, with an understanding of their unique needs.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Local knowledge of the region, with a successful history in sales and new business acquisition.
  • Highly energetic and motivated by sales and targets, with a relentless drive to seek new business.
