Job Title: Fleet Admin Supervisor
Location: Ashbourne, Ireland
Salary: €40k – €45k (plus benefits)
About Us:
We are a dynamic and growing transport company with a fleet comprising 30 HGVs (both
rigid and artic), 20 vans, and 70 trailers. We are passionate about the transport industry and
are looking for a like-minded individual to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Fleet Admin Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of our fleet.
This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for
transport, and the ability to handle various operational and emotional demands. The
successful candidate will oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and compliance of our fleet,
ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage a fleet of 30 HGVs, 20 vans, and 70 trailers, ensuring
compliance with legal and safety regulations.
* Work closely with drivers, ensuring they adhere to company policies and legal
requirements.
* Develop and maintain fleet schedules, ensuring timely delivery and efficiency.
* Manage vehicle maintenance and service schedules, coordinating with external
vendors as needed.
* Handle administrative tasks related to the fleet, such as reporting, fuel management,
and expense tracking.
* Foster a positive working environment, addressing and resolving staff issues with
empathy.
* Maintain open lines of communication between drivers, supervisors, and
management.
* Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the fleet remains
compliant.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in fleet administration or a similar role within the transport
industry.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with people from various
backgrounds and handle challenging situations calmly.
* Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
* Passion for the transport industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality
service.
* Familiarity with HGV and trailer maintenance and regulations is an advantage.
* Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management software.
