General Operative

Job description

Airport staff are looking for a General Operative to join our client based in Little Island, Cork as part of their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a busy manufacturing and engineering environment, with opportunities to develop skills and progress within the company.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate\’s duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Liaising and coordinating with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Assisting with all engineering and production-related activities as required.

• Building air handling units in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.

• Ensuring finished products are completed to a high-quality standard and within set deadlines.

• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively in line with company procedures.

• Adhering to all health and safety policies and maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or engineering workshop environment.

• Experience using hand and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, grinders, and chop saws.

• Ability to accurately read measurements using measuring tapes and other measuring devices.
