About the Role

As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing design concepts for advanced air handling and cooling systems, including AHUs, IECs, DECs, and CDUs. You\’ll collaborate closely with engineering, application, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into manufacturing and maintain consistent quality across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support design concepts for specialized HVAC equipment.
• Verify and select components such as coils, compressors, fans, dampers, actuators, and filters.
• Prepare and review technical documentation including manuals, datasheets, and drawings.
• Assist with tender submissions and technical reviews in collaboration with application engineering.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and coordinate with production for smooth delivery.

What We\’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical, HVAC, or Building Services Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 2+ years\’ experience in HVAC design and component selection, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling software (SolidWorks essential).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and general IT proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent communication skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with LEAN principles.
• Knowledge of data centre air handling unit design.
• Familiarity with Revit and building services engineering.
