About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fleet Manager to join a Catering Company in Dublin, one of the world\’s leading providers of inflight catering and aviation logistics services.

Based at the Airport Logistics Park in St. Margaret\’s, this is a senior operational and compliance-focused role, responsible for managing a fleet of up to 30 HGV vehicles, overseeing the transport budget, and ensuring full regulatory, safety, and security compliance within a fast-paced aviation environment.

✈️ The Role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Fleet Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering on-time performance (OTP) while ensuring that the transport fleet operates to best-in-class standards across compliance, safety, security, and cost control.

You will be a key contributor to departmental strategy, driving continuous improvement across fleet operations while supporting the wider catering and ramp environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain on-time performance (OTP) in line with company targets
  • Manage the HGV fleet (up to 30 vehicles), ensuring availability, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Ensure full compliance with RSA regulations, including tachographs, driving hours, CPC, and all HGV legislative requirements
  • Manage and control the transport budget, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and cost-reduction focus
  • Implement and embed best-practice fleet and transport management structures, optimising efficiencies while maintaining operational flexibility
  • Lead seasonal and volume-based resource planning to support fluctuating operational demands
  • Ensure all security controls are fully compliant with AVSEC, Department of Transport, and internal policies
  • Manage Health & Safety and Air Safety policies within the transport and ramp environment
  • Liaise closely with fleet maintenance providers to manage scheduling, costs, and vehicle uptime
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Catering and department heads to support strategic initiatives, including the potential introduction of third-party business
  • Contribute to departmental development initiatives aligned with Security, Health & Safety, Air Safety, and HACCP requirements

What We\’re Looking For

  • Proven experience at Transport or Fleet Management level
  • Transport Manager\’s Certificate
  • Full, clean Category C driving licence
  • Up-to-date CPC qualification
  • Strong budget management skills with a clear understanding of commercial impact
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and remove unnecessary costs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including shifts and weekends when required
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
  • Ability to successfully complete Garda Vetting and a 5-year background check

Desirable Experience

  • 3+ years\’ experience in fleet or transport management
  • Experience operating within a regulated, time-critical environment (aviation/logistics preferred)
