Assistant Warehouse Manager

Airport Staff are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our client in North County Dublin. As the Logistics Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will have responsibility for a large and ever expanding operation in the North of Dublin. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious person to take a management role in the logistics operation.

** please note, due to location you are required to have your own transport for this role**

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities for the logistics warehouses
• Manage the warehouse operative and team leads as required with the receipt, storage, picking, wrapping, quality checking and dispatch of all goods
• Carry out training, lead group meetings and complete tool box talks with the team
• Complete scheduled team meetings to discuss volumes, objectives and issues as required
• Ensuring staff training is up to date and records and licenses are filed
• Work with customers and their suppliers to forecast and control upcoming workloads
• Manage the onboarding of new customers including planning for volumes, resource, space requirements and optimal configurations
• Ensure MHE checks are carried out and arranging suppliers repairs as required

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3 years in a management role in logistics or supply chain operations.
• Ability to lead a team and to perform all warehouse duties in an efficient and effective manner
• Experience in planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems
• Experience in meeting deadlines and targets
• Experience in managing daily schedules of shipments and deliveries.
