Airport staff are currentnly looking for a Refrigeration Engineer based for our client based in Cork.
- Salary: €55,000 – €60,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Engineer for the Munster area, focusing on after-sales service for heating systems and heat pumps. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration or construction, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, with a significant portion of the work handled remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- F Gas piping & connection and commissioning of heat pump heating systems.
- Provide after-sales support, with the ability to resolve 60% of service calls remotely.
- Engage directly with customers, primarily in residential settings.
- Manage your own schedule and work autonomously, with occasional collaboration with other engineers.
- Support the commercial sales team in a technical capacity when required.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a professional and approachable demeanour.
- Work independently or with a small team, covering the Munster region.
Qualifications:
- F Gas Certification: City & Guilds F GAS 2079 or the updated EU 27 – F Gas Certificate, or Refrigeration Craftsperson QQI Level 6 award (post-2010 awards).
- Proven experience in Air-conditioning/Heat Pumps.
- Strong fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of plumbing and renewable heating technologies is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and other basic computer skills.
- Full, clean driver\’s license.
Ideal Candidate:
- Self-motivated, with experience managing their own workload.
- Previous experience working independently, comfortable with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve most issues remotely.
- Customer-oriented, with a friendly and approachable manner suitable for residential service calls.
