About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a leading airline catering provider based in the Airport Logistics Park, St. Margaret\’s. This organisation delivers inflight catering, onboard retail, and logistics services across all major Irish airports, supporting over 100 aircraft movements daily.

The Transport Planner plays a key role in ensuring that all Catering Loading Team activities are scheduled efficiently to meet operational requirements. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, this role focuses on rostering, scheduling, and flight allocation within a busy 24/7, 7‑day operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule loaders and supervisors to ensure timely delivery of catering and retail products.
  • Manage effective scheduling and rostering, including annual leave planning.
  • Forecast future resource needs based on operational changes such as schedule adjustments.
  • Ensure efficient, cost-effective manpower allocation to support on-time performance.
  • Coordinate and plan all airside training and maintain training records for loaders.
  • Provide hands-on support for loading and off-loading when required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong background in airside operations, ideally in a planning capacity.
  • Proven ability to schedule and roster large teams.
  • Working knowledge of driving regulations and fleet legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Must be authorised to work in Ireland.
  • Ability to pass Garda vetting and a 5-year background check.
