✈️ The Role
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Transport Planner plays a key role in ensuring the Catering Loading Team is effectively scheduled and resourced in line with operational demand. This is a highly visible position within a 7-day, 24-hour operation, requiring strong planning, coordination, and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, roster, and schedule loaders and supervisors to meet daily flight operations
- Allocate resources efficiently to ensure on-time aircraft delivery
- Manage annual leave and absence planning across large teams
- Forecast future staffing requirements based on operational and flight schedule changes
- Drive cost-effective manpower utilisation without compromising service quality
- Coordinate and plan all airside training, maintaining accurate training records
- Support loading and off-loading operations when required
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and operational processes
- Undertake additional reasonable duties in line with business needs
✅ What We\’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a Supervisory or Management role
- Previous transport or operational planning experience (airside experience highly desirable)
- Strong ability to schedule and roster large teams
- Working knowledge of driving regulations and fleet legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
- Self-motivated, proactive, and improvement-focused
- Authorised to work in Ireland
- Ability to successfully complete Garda Vetting and a 5-year background check
Desirable Experience
- Route or transport planning: 2+ years
- Experience working in a time-critical, regulated environment (aviation/logistics preferred)
